Laura Michelsen, LMSW

Laura is a NYS Licensed Masters Social Worker. She presently works as an Elementary School Social Worker on Long Island providing social and emotional support to students from kindergarten through fifth grade. Laura utilizes her experience in mindfulness and relaxation techniques to assist children with feelings of anxiety and depression, as well as attentional difficulties. She promotes emotional awareness and assists students with navigating social situations with peers on a daily basis.

She is a mother of two children and developed this program after witnessing first-hand how the COVID pandemic, social distancing & various other distractions have affected our children’s ability to effectively recognize, understand, express, and properly cope with their emotions.

Paige Palazzolo, LMSW

Paige Palazzolo is a NYS Licensed Masters Social Worker.  She has extensive experience working with children, teens, and young adults in a variety of settings, including schools, universities, hospitals, foster care, and substance abuse programs.  She currently works at an elementary school as a School Social Worker on Long Island providing social and emotional support to students from kindergarten through fifth grade.  

Paige is also a professional soccer coach that has worked with children, college, professional, and disabled athletes. Aside from coaching them on the field, she has a substantial role in providing mental health support to athletes off the field to alleviate different pressures that can affect athletic performance.  Paige is a currently a professional athlete herself, so she understands first-hand the mental health challenges athletes experience that may affect their game.
